Current Domestic Production – CleanTech Vanadium Corp

For decades, the United States has been almost entirely dependent on foreign sources of vanadium and fluorspar—two minerals critical to clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and national security. That dependence is now set to change with CleanTech Vanadium Corp’s entry into domestic production.
Breaking the Import Reliance
CleanTech Vanadium is advancing the Gibellini Vanadium Project in Nevada, a fully permitted operation designed to produce high-purity vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅). With measured and indicated resources exceeding 120 million pounds of V₂O₅, Gibellini is poised to become the first primary vanadium mine in North America. This breakthrough positions CleanTech as the leading force in reshoring vanadium supply and supporting the U.S. transition to renewable energy and advanced energy storage.
CleanTech’s Production Vision
Location: Eureka County, Nevada
Product: Battery-grade vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅), >99% purity
Processing: Open-pit, heap-leach design, with scalable capacity
Sustainability: Low-carbon extraction methods aligned with ESG standards
End Uses: Vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs), aerospace alloys, specialty steels
By entering production, CleanTech will deliver a reliable U.S. source of vanadium, strengthening supply chains for critical industries and reducing the nation’s reliance on imports from China, Russia, and South Africa.
Expanding into Fluorspar
Alongside vanadium, CleanTech is developing a portfolio of fluorspar projects in the historic Illinois–Kentucky district. These assets will complement its vanadium operations and provide additional critical mineral supply for the domestic market, particularly in hydrofluoric acid, aluminum, and lithium battery applications.
National & Strategic Impact
The U.S. government has declared both vanadium and fluorspar as critical minerals essential for economic and national security. CleanTech’s projects directly support federal initiatives to secure domestic supplies, promote renewable energy storage, and drive clean technology growth.
With production on the horizon, CleanTech Vanadium Corp is positioned to transform the landscape of U.S. critical mineral supply—ushering in a new era of domestic production, innovation, and independence.
